They do perform amazingly well, I will give them that.
Problems start when they need repair.

Have replaced several air compressors over the years (I work for a boatyard on Cape Cod) and each time you're looking at about a grand or more.
Up here in the land of Ethanol fuel, replacing VST filters etc is also expensive.
Just my .02 cents USD.
