About the gas tank.

The previous owner put a brand new tank in it, but it was only 17 gallons. I aded a valve near the water separator with a second quick connect fuel line and bulb and was carrying extra gas offshore that I could quickly switch to.

I found a used tank in excellent condition, sanded it with 80 grit, then wet sanded it with 120 grit, thoroughly cleaned degreased and dried it, etched and primed it, tipped all the edges and corners with Heavy Solids Epoxy twice, then two final coats of HS Epoxy.

The Sender is a brand new Mueller. The Wiring I'm using is Lawrence marine sheathed tinned wire.

There's never been a fuel issue, except for the size. 40 gallons on this will run off shore and troll all day. And you still have the back up splash proof quick connect for a remote tank.
