Very good article that centers on the biggest performance killers on any boat. #2 (trim) is a big one that creates lots of havoc and is often left unaddressed. Every height, setback and prop adjustment needs to occur with the driveline being perfectly parallel to the keel of the boat. It's also important to make changes with a real world load on board.

I remember when getting the stern cut into my transom the "Master Tech" telling the grunt not to go crazy with the X factor...he only wants 50 out of it.
