Getting Ready to.....
Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 23cc this weekend and if all goes well with the test drive then it will be mine
The boat has been surveyed and except for a lot of little things like gel coat blemishes and a soft hatch etc.. it looks good. It is a 1975 and this is the second owner. It's got a 250 carbed oil injected yamaha and a 15 hp 4 stroke mercury on the back. My question to the board is... is there anything in particular that I should ask or look for when I meet with the owner. Lord knows I've fired a bunch of questions already to the poor guy. Getting excited

Re: Getting Ready to.....
The one thing that I learned the hard way a long time ago is to check the Hull number with the title of the boat if it doesn’t match walk away.

Re: Getting Ready to.....
Make sure the name on the title matches the name of the seller. It may not be as common in CA as in FL, but I've seen a few on this side of the country that are "being sold for friends", etc.

Thanks I'll make sure I do those things. The surveyer did that already but I'll check it again
