Default Back in the day

I just ran across some old pics of my Dad’s 1978 23ft SeaCraft and me. We had just got back from a fishing trip. It was September of 1980 and I was 9 years old (almost 10). This was when there was no limit on Red Snapper. It wasn't unusual to catch 500lbs of snapper in a day’s trip. There wasn't but just a very few people around here that had electronics back then, my dad being one of them. We would fish on the bottom with a double hook rig and as soon as we would hit the bottom, we were reeling back up with two large Snappers just about every time!

Yours truly trying to hold a large snapper.

My uncle and I.

My Dad.

My dad eventually sold his SeaCraft but the memories of the old SeaCraft stayed with me, so when I got old enough I bought my own SeaCraft.

Love those old pics! I got some of my Dad's old Ana Capri I need to scan. Great boat.

By the way, hows that Seavette coming? Looking forward to pics of the finished project.

Thanks guys,
Bryan, The Seavette is pretty close to being ready to be picked up. The last time that I talked to Mike he had the hull painted and was getting ready to spray the topside and deck.
