Re: O.K. you f/g experts, I need some help.

Billybob;
I have been watching this thread with great interest. You have been given some good advice in general but the one thing that seems to be missing is the root cause of the problem. In all my...

Hello; Boat meet Dock

I spotted this yesterday at one of the local boatyards. It seems the young owner ignored the 25hp or 105lb limit for his boat. His engine of choice was an older Merc 60hp. On Sunday during a...

Re: Non-Skid Gelcoat Repair (non-seacraft boats)

Wow, looks great in pictures, but why don't they show the finished repair. OK, I am done being a dick. These type of molds have been around for years. I have tried various ones over the years and...

Re: How many From CT

Trayder:

So Trayder, you must have seen me drifting off Mason Point during the summer. We hit some fluke spots there almost every time we are out.

Re: How many From CT

I am doing fine I think. I believe that boating will not be in my future this summer as hip replacement surgery is in my plan soon. Plus I think the Keeper might be going on the market. Don't know...

Re: Restored Formula

Strick and others:
Formula, Wellcraft, Bertram and a slew of others all have the same basic design. The Deep Vee as we know it today was the brainchild of C. Raymond Hunt. Simply put, a 22 to 24...

Re: Spraying Gelcoat and Awlgrip?

That subject will take me too long to answer here. PM me and I will give you my phone number and I will tell you what I have found to be the best way to use a pressure pot.

Re: test

I find it hard to believe that using Awlgrip and similar paint systems underwater is bad. To me it is the surface prep that caused the problem. I have built over 60 boats in my life and many were...
