Re: plastic fuel tank source
Thanks, I may be interested if another source from a manufacturer in TN doesn't work out. I live in SC. Your's actually sounds a little better dimensionally. Taller and shorter. But if I don't...

I'm redoing a 69 20 ft, putting tank under deck. Does anyone know of a source for a tank no more than 22" wide (between stringers)and no more than 11" deep (including dog box) that will hold 50 gal...

Re: Separation of hull to stringers and ribs
What are you going to do/did you do to rebind the liner to the hull? I was only planning on redoing where they are fastened and not take out the top of the liner/cap (worried about losing shape...

Re: Separation of hull to stringers and ribs
I'm currently restoring a 69 20 ft. I had the same concerns about the hull near the stern. I think that part of the problem is the way the cap is attached to the hull. I think it is called a...

Re: 20 SF CONSOLE PLACEMENT
I'm redoing a 69 sf 20. Decided to replace big old console (which was mounted far aft and with tank under it) with smaller one. Some have said console placement is really a matter of "taste." But is...

Re: 1969 20' engine choice
I haven't made up my mind completely but I think I may be leaning toward the 150 now. Over the 45 years I've been around boats, I have rarely heard anyone really unhappy about being overpowered but...

Re: 1969 20' engine choice
That makes sense, esp if the difference is just 7 lbs. The larger pistons would not weigh as much more as what is bored out of the block - all else being equal. Haven't completely ruled out the...

Re: 1969 20' engine choice
Wow! thanks for all the comments. I am a little stuck on e-tecs now but can be persuaded. The 115 is a v-4 and weighs 375#. The 150 is a v-6 and weighs 427#. The Suzuki posted weights have...

1969 20' engine choice
I am currently redoing a 69 SF 20 ft. (Will raise transom 5 in and deck 3 or so for tank and bailing). In looking ahead for engine choice I really like the e-tec. My choices would be 115 or 150. ...

Re: help with motor selection

Re: What year is my 20? Can anyone tell me.
Well, I just bought a 1969 20 ft seacraft. She seems to be in good shape, esp. for a boat that old. This owner bought her from the original owner in 1970 and has owned her since. As stated in an...

Re: 20 SeaCraft
The reason I am asking is that I have found a 69 model for sale nearby that I am going to look at next week. I'd like to be as informed as possible before I get there. Did those old boats have a...

Re: 20 SeaCraft
Thanks for all your help and especially for that layout link.
Noticed earlier in this post that you identified a boat as pre-1972. How did you know that? I've searched the board for clues...

88 SeaCraft 20
I've seen an 88 SeaCraft 20 for sale not too far away. I know this is from the "Tracker" era. Does anyone know about the boat of this age? Is it the same hull design? The hull ID is SICF0151B888,...

Thanks a bunch. I guess it's just a some do some don't thing. I have no doubt the transom needs replacing.
Were any of the 20 ft potters I/O's?
